The Day 1 Alliance is dedicated to educating and informing Americans on the small but valued role the private sector plays in addressing corrections and detention challenges in the United States. From day one, we understand we have a responsibility to provide safe and dignified care to those in our facilities. For more than 35 years, we have partnered with local, state and federal governments led by Democrats and Republicans to relieve overcrowded facilities and provide needed public services in a cost-effective way for taxpayers.
Those serving their sentences in corrections facilities deserve to be equipped with the resources and skills necessary to successfully re-enter society as productive, law-abiding citizens.
Those in ICE processing centers deserve to await their due process through the US immigration system in safe, secure facilities designed specifically for their needs, including access to health care and legal services.
Join us as we educate and inform Americans about the small but valued role of the private sector in meeting key challenges in corrections and detention.
