Washington, DC – The Day 1 Alliance (D1A), the trade association representing longtime federal and state government contractors in the criminal justice and immigration systems, released the following statement regarding President Donald Trump’s Executive Order released August 7, 2025 titled, “Guaranteeing Fair Banking For All Americans.” Members of the Day 1 Alliance include CoreCivic, The GEO Group (GEO), Management & Training Corporation (MTC), and LaSalle Corrections. 

“This Executive Order issued by President Trump is welcome and positive news. In recent years, our member companies have experienced debanking by major financial institutions based on false claims by extreme activists whose actual goal was simply to abolish ICE. For decades, federal contractors have played a limited but valued role in our country’s criminal justice and immigration systems under both Republican and Democratic leadership.
